China's State Council Wednesday announced plans to ease the tax burden on lower and middle-income workers by raising the minimum threshold.
　　The plan would also result in other changes to the country's nine income tax brackets.
　　The changes will need to be approved by the legislature's Standing Committee, but China's official news agency says the goal is to encourage more people to start their own businesses.

　　Also Wednesday, China's central bank published plans calling for the increased use of Chinese currency in cross-border trade.
　　The bank said it will expand the use of the yuan by importers and exporters.
　　China has been trying to encourage use of the yuan to make it a more prominent currency in global finances.
　　中國國務(wù)院星期三宣布了通過提高個人所得稅起征點來減輕中低收入者的稅務(wù)負(fù)擔(dān)的計劃。
　　這個計劃還會對中國9個所得稅的稅率帶來其他的改變。

　　新華社說，中國上一次提高個人所得稅起征點是在2008年3月，但是一些經(jīng)濟學(xué)家當(dāng)時表示，個稅起征點上調(diào)的力度不夠。
　　中國央行星期三也公布了要求在跨境貿(mào)易中增加使用人民幣的計劃。
　　中國人民銀行說，它將擴大進出口商對人民幣的使用。
　　中國一直試圖鼓勵人民幣的使用，使之成為國際金融中一個更加重要的貨幣。
