　　【參考范文】　The Traffic Jam
　　The picture shows a serious traffic jam during the rush hour. Clearly, both lanes are jammed by automobiles, and there is no doubt that the only thing the held-up drivers can do is to wait. The traffic jam is a serious problem in big cities. Students are late for classes; workers of every walk of life are late for work; and travelers miss their trains or flights.
　　When talking about the inconvenience caused by traffic jams, most people would blame the increasing numbers of cars. Yet this is only one factor. Another reason is the relatively under-developed infrastructure construction, namely, the lack of wide roads, streets and highways. Furthermore, people's weak sense of traffic regulations may result in more road accidents that in turn add to the seriousness of traffic jams.
　　To solve the problem, stiffer punishment for breaking traffic rules is necessary. Besides, a long-term planning of road construction must be taken into consideration. Still another solution will be the advocacy of public transports and car-pool, an effective means to increase the transport capacity during rush hours.
