　　在中國，當(dāng)有客人來訪時，泡茶(serve tea)是必不可少的。你可提前詢問客人喜歡喝什么茶以便選用茶具(tea set)來待客。主人在陪伴客人飲茶時，要非常注意茶壺以及客人茶杯中的茶水剩余量。通常，如茶已喝去一半，就要添加茶水，隨喝隨添，使茶水濃度(concentration)不變和溫度適宜。在飲茶時也可適當(dāng)佐以點心、糖果、菜肴等，達到調(diào)節(jié)口味和緩解饑餓感之功效。

　　難點注釋

　　1.句中，“當(dāng)有客人來訪時”可以譯為when there’re visitors，但比較啰嗦，不如直接譯為visitors簡練;“泡茶是必不可少的”可用it-句型，其中it作形式主語，可譯為it is necessary to…。

　　2.第二句中，“喜歡喝什么茶”作“詢問”的賓語，可譯為what kind of tea they fancy most;“以便”還可譯為in order to(do)，with the aim of(doing)，for the purpose of(doing)。

　　3.第三句中，“在陪伴客人飲茶時”指的是飲茶的過程，所以譯為In the course of serving tea;“茶水剩余量”可譯為how much water remaining。

　　4.第四句中，“添加茶水”使用被動語態(tài)結(jié)構(gòu)，用“茶水”作主語，可譯為boiling water should be added;“隨喝隨添”指的是保持茶杯是滿的，所以譯為the cup is kept filled。

　　5.第五旬中，“調(diào)節(jié)口味”指的是用點心、糖果、菜肴等來補充茶的香味，可譯為complement the fragrance of the tea;“緩解饑餓感”可譯為allay one’s hunger。
