Jobs CollegeGraduates Want to Do
The chart has clearly revealed the differences between female andmale students in their job preferences and choices after graduation.
The most desired jobs for boys, according to priority,aremanagers, businessmen and lawyers. Girls also like to pursue these professions,but the percentage drops considerably, compared with the great number of girls whoare interested in becoming teachers.
What has brought about this result? I believe that many girls mayprefer the teaching positions because they like to take care of and giveguidance to the younger generation, while boys like to become managers and businessmenbecause they like the idea of standing up to challenges and want to prove thatthey have it in them
to be both socially and financially successful.
The findings will definitely exert some influence on theuniversity education in China. To better prepare the students for their futurejobs, all universities and colleges in China should take into considerationstudents' job preferences,when they design syllabuses and offer courses totheir students.

大學畢業生想從事的工作
這一圖表清晰地反映了男女學生在畢業后的職業選擇方面存在的不同。
男生理想的工作，依照優先順序，分別是：經理、商人和律師。女生也喜歡從事這些職業，但與數量頗多的想成為教師的女生相比，想從事這些職業的女生比例要低得多。是什么造成了這樣的結果呢?我認為許多女生之所以選擇教師這一職業，是因為她們喜歡照顧和指導年輕的一代，而男生喜歡成為經理和商人，則是因為他們喜歡迎接挑戰，也想證明他們無論在社交方面還是財富方面都有成功的能力。這些發現必然將對中國的大學教育產生影響，為了使學生們能更好地為將來的工作做好準備，所有的大學在設計教學大綱和開設課程的時候都必須考慮到學生的職業選擇。

【句法點評】

The chart has clearly revealed…用在文章開頭引出對圖表的描述，類似的表達還有as is revealed in the chart、judging from the table、we can clearly see fromthe chart that…。in后接名詞短語，表示差異存在的具體方面。preferences和choices均為抽象名詞，用法地道。
2．What has brought about this result?I believe that…
在對圖表進行描述之后，給出自己的評價，緊扣題目要求。短語bring about意為“引起，帶來”，常用于bring about a problem等語境中。
3．．．．．they like the idea of standing up to challenges and want to provethat they have it in them to be both socially and financially successful．
standup to意為“勇敢面對”，因而stand up to challenges即意為“迎接挑戰”。and連接兩個并列的謂語like和want，prove后又接一個that引導的賓語從句，增加了句子的復雜程度。have it in them可理解為“具有某種能力/潛質”。
